From Denver to Steamboat (200 miles):

Where can we keep our lunch if we bring it in the morning?

We will have a small fridge in which you may keep your lunch for later in the day. Bring your own utensils.

Will we be eating Lunch outside if we bring it?

Weather permitting, we will be eating outside as much as possible. You may want to bring a picnic mat (we will have a few) or low chair for sitting outside on the grass or down by the river. Bring your water bottle and dress in layers as the temperature can vary throughout the day dramatically.

Where can I get a map of Steamboat?

A map link is here.

What should I wear to the retreat/in Steamboat?

Casual, comfortable clothes in layers as the temperature can vary widely over the course of the day. Wear or bring socks in case your feet get cold. The temperature in the large library room can also be variable depending on outside weather and the number of people in the room.

What should I bring to retreat?

If you can bring a personal water bottle and insulated cup/mug for hot drinks, we will save on trash and even recycling. We will have paper cups, just in case you forget.

What are the seating arrangements?

We will have a limited number cushions (based on numbers/space) and chairs available. Try to rotate with others who may want to use a cushion. If you wish to bring your own zafu, that is fine. Sometimes we need to stand, lie down or stretch. There will be a location at the back of the room with cushions and room for this.
